Project Highlights
- Repurposed existing redwood planking for new ADA compliant ramps.
- Worked closely with the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection and City Planning to ensure project compliance and neighborhood acceptance including but not limited to preapplication meetings, section 311 notices, and collaborative document review.
- Tipping, Lowney, Field Construction and Ownership worked closely together to ensure the structural integrity of the expanded roof deck footprint would meet building code and fire code requirements and ownership design goals, without negatively impacting the newly installed roofing membrane.
- Innovative use of new, finely crafted materials in combination with traditional raw materials, seamlessly connecting the past with the future.
- Multiple crane lifts to stock and remove materials from the structure.
